SELEX Elsag’s innovation serves community
SELEX Elsag has been recently awarded with Cisco Innovation Award 2012 for the SISTRI project, through its subsidiary, SELEX Service Management.
This contract, awarded on 31 January in London, aims at identifying innovative solutions which, by using state-of-the-art technologies, represent the “Best Practices” within the ICT area. The SISTRI project has been chosen by an international board of experts, made up by 10 members, through a transparent and comprehensive process of selection and evaluation.

SELEX Elsag’s Innovation Award 2011
The three winning proposals for the corporate Innovation Award have been chosen and placed equal first. Awards have been given to “The story of a new capability for a new market - Guardian electronic attack for the electronic warfare market” (by Nigel Main, Kumar Arumugam, Nigel Fleming, Bede O’Neill, Colin Smith, Keith Barton and Virna Tomaselli), “A flexible platform for wideband avionic data links” (Angiolo Andrei, Antonio Prosperi and Marco Morini) and “High capacity parcel sorting system” (Maurizio Del Canto and Carlo Parodi).

SELEX Elsag awarded a contract to supply the Royal Danish Air Force with 8 LOAM systems
SELEX Elsag has been awarded an important contract to supply the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization with 8 LOAM (Laser Obstacle Avoidance & Monitoring) systems to detect obstacles in the low altitude flights that will equip the Royal Danish Air Force EH-101 helicopter fleet in Tactical Transportation configuration. The job order includes also testing and functional activities - in addition to the ones performed in the first months of 2011 -, which will be carried out during the delivery phase of LOAM systems.
