Conformance Testing for UK and IOM registered vessels.
Selex ES have been appointed as an LRIT Authorised Testing Application Service provider for the UNITED KINGDOM Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and on behalf of the Government of the ISLE OF MAN. This is in accordance with SOLAS V, Regulation 19-1 in compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Resolution MSC.263(84) on "Revised performance standards and functional requirements for the long-range identification and tracking of ships" and MSC.1/Circ.1296 "Guidance on the survey and certification of compliance of ships with the requirement to transmit Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) information."
Selex ES may therefore test shipborne Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) equipment fitted to vessels registered in the United Kingdom and issue Conformance Test Reports (CTRs) as outlined in MSC.1/Circ.1307.
